Recipe: Sugar Coated Pecans

Summary: This recipe was submitted, along with some of these treats, as a Christmas gift from a friend. What a great idea! Thought everyone would love them.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • 1 lb. pecan halves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 and grease a baking sheet.
  2. Mix egg white and water in a mixing bowl until frothy.
  3. In a seperate bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Add pecans to egg mixture, stirring to coat evenly.
  5. Remove and toss in sugar mixture until coated.
  6. Spread evenly on baking sheet and bake for 1 hour.
