What 8 Things?

My chocolate loving friend, Lisa, of Stop and Smell the Chocolates tagged me with this post on Thursday, May 28th.  I am so sorry to join the fun so late, but hey, let’s keep this going!  After all, tagging is sooo much fun!

I have to come up with “8″ things in each of these categories, so let’s see…

  • 8 Things I Look Forward to
  1. Father’s Day weekend and family fun!  (Spending more time with my hubby and the boys!!)
  2. Eating more yummy food (Lisa, pass some choco pls!)
  3. Drinking more coffee, Dunkin Hines will do quite nicely
  4. Following my fitness regimen and actually getting into shape!!
  5. This would include making it through The 30 Day Shred!
  6. Swimming with the family and getting a nice tan
  7. Following my schedule and getting ready for the new school season (Yes, I did say that.  I so want to get things in order.)
  8. Seeing my children soar!!!
  • 8 Things I Did Yesterday
  1. Slept in
  2. Drank coffee
  3. Watched boring TV
  4. Surfed bloggy world and edited my blog
  5. Im’d and talked to my hubby and sister Rena
  6. Mopped (Yay!)
  7. Cooked food…
  8. Watched more boring TV
  • 8 Things I Wish I Could Do (I have no idea.. !)
  1. Follow in a closer relationship with God (Meaning, I have to get up early and spend time with Him.)
  2. Increase my prayer life
  3. Follow my dreams of personal ministry
  4. Reach more through bloggy world and make even more great friends along the way
  5. Have a stronger relationship with my family (Again, spending more time w/hubby and boys would be nice!)
  6. Become the best wife, mom, teacher, and friend I can be
  7. Edit Rena’s books when she becomes a writer to all
  8. Write a book of my own
  • 8 Shows I Watch (Help me Lord, there’s not much out there anymore!)
  1. I catch up on the latest books with Life Today through my DVR.  (Wednesdays with Beth are the best!)
  2. I drag through The Today Show and other morning shows.
  3. I still watch Gilmore re-runs.  (What’s a girl to do?)
  4. I watch some other reruns in the evening.  (How eventful?!)
  5. I also DVR Rachael Ray, Little People Big World, John & Kate, NCIS, Law and Order SVU, Southland, What Not to Wear and more… (Some of which are getting pretty boring, and let’s face it, they are out of season.)
  6. I have actually been watching, I’m A  Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!, for lack of a better idea.  (Janice drives everyone crazy.)
  7. The Office and 30 Rock bring a good laugh.  (That is, when I can handle their humor.  Timing is EVERYthing.)
  8. BTW, I am so over American Idol right now.

Here’s Some Randomness for You…

Ok, so today will mark the beginning of my randomness with Andrea at Under Grace and Over Coffee.  Yay!  Sharing coffee with someone who speaks yaya WFM!  Now really, ladies, I wont bore you with many tales of woe.  I’ll just ramble on, jumping from subject to subject  as we often do.

Actually, I hope to keep these short and sweet for those days I’m all out of chocolate.  Yesterday we began hosting a Web-Wedding shower for Jeni Friend.  That is her name and a friend she had quickly become.  We are planning our next shower on Sunday, June 14th.  I will probably be posting early since it lands on Sunday.  This will give all of you time to join the fun and get your virtual gifts together.  I have actually set this up as a mini-meme so others can join with their individual posts.  I can’t wait to see what everybody comes up with!

What a way to meet each other!  Jeni has lots of friends whom she knows in real life within her blogging circle.  Then there’s those of us who have only known her for the short time she’s been blogging with us.  How great is GOD that He would arrange such a meeting?!

Now on to another subject concerning memes.  (How’s that for random?)  My sis and I are hosting The Daily Mercies on Sunday, which has received very little traffic.  We are hoping this is mainly because of our choice in days.  So, with Sundays being the day of rest, we are considering a move to Saturdays.  While we sincerely do not wish to interfere with any of the other memes out there, we feel this is the best day for us.  We thought it might be a good idea to poll this question and get your opinions on the matter.  I am not sure how to go about that, so for now… what do you think?  Do you have any further suggestions in helping us get the word out and inviting others to join?
