Hey ladies, my name is Ginger of Here’s My Cup Lord. I recently stopped by and joined the ranks. I wont be joining a diet program, but I thought I’d share a little bit with you and try to stay updated on progress. For me, this is about accountability and simply trying to balance my sweets/carbs intake.

After reading Made to Crave you’d think I’d have this cornered by now. My husband and I already know a lot about eating whole grains (thanks to my sister Rena who tries to lead us in the right direction); it’s everything else we I have a problem with (ha!). In truth, we need the extra balance of healthy protein while sticking close to good carbs without the extras. Seems easy enough until you wave candy or chocolate in front of me.

Then there’s fitness, which means walking or Palates. Great when you’re consistent, but as soon as you back off you tend to stay right there. So, this week will be about getting back up again and trying to push away from the last leftover candy cane from the tree, skipping the cheesecake from my son’s birthday, and simply starting from there.

I so wish Denise Austin still aired on Lifetime in the early am. It is so much easier to stay disciplined when all you have to do is DVR her daily episodes. Thank God I do have some DVDs to get me started again (or not). Maybe we can become friends again.
