Please, let me share this word with you today:
“I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new” (Leviticus 26:9–10, NIV)
If there was ever anything I always had trouble with, that would be seeing the forest for the trees. Sometimes it is difficult to see that you can be favored. Sometimes it feels as if you simply are not being given a chance. A big hang up for me is getting a dollar and then something happening to take that dollar away. Seems like a terrible joke and often leaves me feeling burdened. But, I read a line of scripture like the one above and I am forced to bow my head in prayer and remember that God wants to bless and multiply within us. He wants to increase above and beyond anything we could ever ask, think, or even imagine. Often we do not take time to receive all that God wants to give us, we simply continue to fill our day to day lives with so much. Sometimes we have to take on a day with a smile, fill our cup, and greet the warmth of the Sun. We need to sit in solace and remind ourselves that we have to take a deep breath, relax, and evaluate what we have in our hands and be willing to move some things out in order to make room for the new things God has for us.
So, with that said, I challenge you; Sit somewhere comfortable, peaceful, and think. Hear the beating of your heart and allow your mind to focus and open yourself to what God wants to do in and through you. If your hands are full, maybe it is time to use what you have to bless others. Whatever you do, do not allow yesterday to keep you from God’s best today and beyond. Make room because He has abundant blessings in store for you.
Heavenly Father, today I open my hands, my heart, and my mind to You. I choose to release spiritually, physically or emotionally that which would keep me from Your best. I ask that You would search my heart and show me where I need to make adjustments to make more room for You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
God Loves You. Remind yourself of this EVERY day.
Jerry
