As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Gen. 17:4
We can’t celebrate harvest season without remembering Him who is our harvest. The one who died to supply our every need through the bounty of His love. We share our Sabbath on Sunday because He is risen. Yet, this is something we often take for granted because it’s just what we do—it’s who we are. With that, we know all things are complete, we are healed, and it is finished. When sickness strikes our families, when the enemy attacks our finances, when we learn the path of obedience through the humility of our mistakes, we remember all things are made new. We are made whole.
I don’t know about you, but when it comes to personal sickness, I am reaching for the first thing to bring me relief—the first thing to give the me the strength and peace I need to get through the day and what lies ahead. I am reaching for rest. How often have we all been there?
We know God provided us with the doctors and medication necessary to sustain us, and these are vital to our daily life and growth, but we cannot forsake the stripes He bore by neglecting the path of prayer. The path that leads us to the right doctors, teaches us to manage our finances, and brings us peace in our circumstances. This path is what the harvest is all about. The path of sowing and reaping, learning and growing. It is my prayer that we learn to pour out more from our overflow, but how can we do this when we are empty? The path to refilling starts on our knees. That’s where He is leading me tonight, sowing seeds of prayer, believing for healing and restoration, and knowing through my obedience—it is done!
He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. Rev. 21:6
