The Daily Mercies: The Truth About Dating

A while back I heard a message by Kellie Copeland Swisher, through the blessing of the BVOV podcasts, and was enlightened by the truth in her words.  She spoke of dating and the effects it has on both teens and adults, reminding us of God’s purpose through marriage and how He has chosen someone specifically for each of us.

How I wish I knew her wisdom in times past, and how grateful I am to have such a wonderful husband to share life with.  The realization that dating, in itself, is not God’s choice for us makes much since to me, as none of what you share through this process belongs to anyone other than your mate whom God has called.  As such, much heartache can be avoided by simply waiting on HIM.

I am sure if I were to poll this post, I would get mixed reviews, but for now, I’ll just rest in the mercy He provided as one whom he has brought through the fires and is forever purifying the heart of His princess.

In closing, I leave this message to my nieces, “Dance Courtney Dance, and shout Cammie shout!”

    Ginger,
Thank you so much for this post. The timing is perfect! I hope to have a post up and linked soon on Courtney and her recent break-up with Aubrey.

And keep your chin up, Sis, about this meme! It's all for Him! One link, no links, a hundred links. All for Him. Despise not small beginnings.
