Yay! It’s time to launch Jeni’s first linky shower! Are you ready ladies? Let’s go! Every bride deserves a new wardrobe, so why not start now?
Ok Jeni, we’ll be trying on some new garments to go nicely with those you already have, but first you’ll need some new luggage to put all this in when you go on your honeymoon.
“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Eph. 6:11

Tiffany's anyone? Or so I wished, while searching the net for the awesome luggage Debra Messing used in The Wedding Date.
Then you’ll need a belt to hold your position in Him. From Prada to Dior, I searched and found none that made me shout, so on with a sash or Obi Belt if you please.
The belt of Truth: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:6-7

For the lady in you...

For the casual look...

And, my personal fave all rolled into one!
How about a feminine shirt to show who you are?
The Breastplate of Righteousness: “If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” John 14:15-16, 26

How sweet is that?
You can never have too many shoes, and remember we’ve seen your closet. Not to mention, Gordon suggested platforms so you would no wouldn’t have to use your stool to reach your new cabinets… ha!
The Shoes of Peace: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
Here’s a classic white hat to add a little whimsy to your collection.
The Helmet of Salvation: “In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” John 3:3

Just for fun!
Let’s add some sunglasses, sunscreen, and even some bronzer. Your wedding’s in April, right?
The Shield of Faith: On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Dear woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied, “My time has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, 9and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” John 2:1-10

You have to stay covered!

Also her fave here.
Don’t forget your camera to spread His word through pictures. (Another suggestion from Gordon.)
The Sword of the Spirit: Jesus declared, “Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:21-24
And finally. some accessories you can’t live without…
The Garments of Prayer—The A.C.T.S: “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” John 14:12-14
Adoration
Confession and Communion

Until He comes...

No, I don't think your a hobo, but Gordon says to add: "Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas."
Thanksgiving and Praise

Something blue...

The anklet, so beautifully simple.
Supplication and Intercession
Because you LOVE the journey…

So you'll always remember your friends!
And finally, a sarong for added beauty.
His Hedge of Protection—His Blood: “Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.” John 6:53-58

What's your color?

*Note: These verses from John used in this post are excerpts from the book, The Greatest Words Ever Spoken by Steven K. Scott and all are listed in the NIV of the bible.
