Her name is Shelia. They call her Cheeta. Truly, she is Nana to most, but above all, she’s our mom!
What beauty today brings as each of us celebrate her role with family and friends.
She is the one who is there through every step, every smile, every tear, every mile.
She is the one who brings hope and comforts pain.
She is the one who labors in love and teaches her children to find their faith at His feet.
She is the one who loves us on her knees.
She is the one who brings His message of the Cross.
She is the one who teaches us the path of obedience.
She is the one who models His passion through prayer.
She is the one who instills a love for His word.
She is the one who sees His grace and embraces His mercy.
She is the one. She is our mom!
Happy Birthday Mom! Mother’s Day is not time enough to express all you are.
May these few words bring the simple blessing of a smile, of laughter, of warm wishes, and a strong hug.
May you know today— as always— how much you are loved while remembering, through the eyes of your children, you will always be the ONE.
You are MOM!
With love from all of us, we celebrate YOU!
In closing, I wanted to include this special post from Jennifer as she is Falling Into God’s Hands. May each of us be blessed, and come to know our mom as who she is in each of our lives.
Look for a special edition of The Daily Mercies and more within the week.
I am now linking this post with Sara at Real Life. Let’s continue to share and celebrate mom throughout this month.
