Under the Curse, or the Choice?

You know, Joyce Meyer points out that living under the generational curse is a choice.  She calls it, the generational choice.  Why?  Because it is our choice as to whether we choose this path.  The narrow path of obedience, or the wide path of destruction.  With that, many of us our faced with the choice to follow the path as set by our families, or to make the choice to change that path and follow the road that leads to deliverance.

Maybe there is a pattern within in your family that you are facing today.  Once that you would choose to change.  Well. God has given you the choice to do so.  Not only with the personal choices you make, but in those  choices you make as a parent in raising your children.

Remember, the pattern has to stop somewhere.  Make the choice today to stop that pattern with YOU.  Thus, this pattern will not follow through into the lives of your children and the generations to follow.

It also important to know that if you have made a mistake, you CAN teach your children NOT to make that mistake, following the same pattern onto there children.

Again, the choice is yours, and when it becomes theirs, don’t you want to know they will make the right decision?  A decision you have instilled in them.  Don’t you want to break the curse?

Of course, we know this has been done through the cross.  We are not under the curse.  But, we have to choose not to follow it.  Let’s make that choice today by choosing the path of obedience.

I have read a very informative book by Marilyn Hickey which I have outlined here.  Please take the time to view this source and be delivered TODAY.  The choice is yours, so make the right one.

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, as for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.  And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” Gen. 17:1-8
