vinegar

So, do these go together or what?

Yes!  I have to say this vinegar thing really works.  Seriously, just put a cup or so in the wash as your rinse aid and save the bucks on that old fab softener.  Who said going green was hard?  Just do your own thing without going overboard.  Bottom line, if it works, use it!  Price is always key, so the vin is a must, even the Great Value, which I prefer.

Then there’s the whole using less soap factor.  It really does make a difference.  With all the uses of vinegar, keeping it simple works for me.  Try it in your dishwasher as well.  I like to use it as a everyday cleaner, but if the need requires more, go for it.

*Be careful of special instructions from your manufacturer noting risk in messing up censors, as in he washers and drying cycles of dishwashers.  There are some minor adjustments, so use at your own discretion.

Off to clean, (maybe?)

I’ve been using vinegar in the dishwasher for years… I use the Great Value brand, too.

Thanks for commenting on my blog.

My main uses for vinegar is the dishwasher and the washer, but I’ve also diluted it and washed floors with it. It’s an all-purpose cleaner!

You can also rinse your hair with vinegar to bring out highlights if you have brown or red hair.

Vinegar has all kinds of great uses! It’s especially good for cloth diapers, where regular fabric softener can make them less absorbent and vinegar just helps them to wash clean.

I’m a new convert to cleaning my floors w/ vinegar! I use 1 cup to a gallon for my vinyl floors (and they really did look shinier!) And then just 1/2 c for my wood floors. The scent disappears as the floors dry–honestly! I did NOT know I could use it in my dishwasher though..that’s fabulous!

I told Jenifriend recently in her comments that I was looking for yours….

…On home made cleansers….go back and check it out. You so must’ve missed it.

    That’s your thing…

    And blue for comfort?

I’m going to look for the blue. May have to look in Sophie’s bag. ;)

i bought two huge containers of vinegar at sam’s to make all of my homemade cleaners and i’m sooo excited! i’ll be using it on my floors, and will definitely be looking at this for washing clothes. my question is though, it’s also recommended to include baking soda in a washing cycle…and those two items create quite the volcanic eruption. is there more specific information on when to use which item??

Blue moisturizer. The color of the tube, not the Chapstick itself… ha! Oh! I saw that and do need to comment huh?
