Let me tell you about my little Guitar Hero. He is my youngest son, Jordon, who is also my “Last One Baby“. Yes Jordon, I did write that… ha! He has wanted Guitar Hero for some time, so my husband got it for him. As time has passed, he has become really good at this thing. If you’re looking for Jordon, you can surely find him in his room, not missing a beat. This is the perfect game for “The Man with the Song”. He is so full of life, marching to his own beat, with his special sense of humor that keeps me going.
What a blessing this little man has been to our lives. He is a mirror image of his father in so many ways. He has his father’s most incredible smile with beautiful teeth and eyes that will brighten anyone’s day. He is wise beyond his years, stronger than most, and will give you very good advise while keeping you in line. This he does in both deliberate and unexpected ways. The obvious would be through his outspoken correction. The other would be in seeing yourself through his eyes.
That is not always easy for me, as he and I often do not get along. This is also where he is much like me. In some ways he got a double dose, but I have to say, much of his response comes from me. Something I must truly work on for my little buddy. I see his sense of insecurity and feeling like he’s not good enough, like he never does anything right… . I want him to see how wonderfully special he is to all, how he is sooo needed and loved, how life wouldn’t be the same without him, and how he can do all things!
This little man and his Guitar Hero have become really close. I only hope it brings him the joy he has, just by being who he is. YOU ROCK!!! Play on my little champ!
I love you more than words,
