  • Small Straws In A Soft Wind by Marsha Burns — November 4, 2008:

Even though your nation and the world seem to be in utter chaos, you are not of the world. You belong to Me and abide in My kingdom. Therefore, do not fear the chaotic conditions that you see or even that come near you, for I am with you, says the Lord. Put your faith and trust in Me rather than reacting to what you see and hear. Truth will prevail. You must walk by faith and not by sight.
Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.

I can still hear little Cammie sing, “He is the King of Kings and the Yord of Yords.  His name is Jejus, Jejus, Jejus, Jejus, Ohhhhhh Na, Na, Na Kinnnng!”  With her sweet little voice raised high, she proclaimed, even then, He is the King!

That gets me thinking.  When my husband led us in prayer for our nation the other night, he spoke of how God gave His people a king even when He didn’t want them to have one.  He pointed out how He gave the people, His people, what they wanted.  He wanted them to entrust in Him as their king.  That is what He is saying to us today.  He is King!  Will you Speak to Nations? Will you call Him King?  Cast your vote today, and rest in Who really runs this country!

In His hands,

my-siggy

It is a safe place to rest, in the arms of Our King who never leaves His throne or changes power. We trust Him who says that He places men in those seats of worldly power and we are to trust Him with our future. Serving the True King is a blessing. Thanks for sharing.
    Always,

  3. Wonderful thoughts and a good reminder!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my teacup post. Your meme sounds wonderful! Besides word of mouth, you might try putting an announcement with the CWO blogroll. And maybe you want to put a reminder about it a WFMW post where more new people might see it.

Feel free to link up any chocolate post this Friday! Actually, this Friday can be any dessert, even without chocolate – but you can certainly post your mom’s brownies!

    Ginger,
What a sweet reminder for me! That song brought memories and tears.
