Happy Birthday Daddy!

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.  For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 1 Cor. 13:8-13

Today is a very special day in our lives as we honor the birth of Jerry, our very best friend.  He is not just a wonderful husband, he is a wonderful father!!

He is always putting his family first with his hard work and lifting us above life’s circumstances.  I truly don’t know what I would do without this man who is the very best friend I have ever had.  He has proved to be the same for our two boys whom he mentors into being strong men and he does so in many ways that even he may not realize.

He has shown them that hard work is a must, while if there is a problem he’s first on the scene.  He is as serious about his family as he is about life.  He looks deep into the heart of God and expresses His love in a way that most people may never begin to feel, let alone touch.

Whether it’s through the gifts he strives so hard to provide, or the simple way he thinks of us on a daily basis, our Jerry is definitely a reflection of his Father.

He has stood by my side through many storms and has gone out before me with umbrella in hand, every ready to shelter, defend, and protect—even if he gets soaked in the process!

He has kept his family under this umbrella while holding tightly to his convictions.  My desire for him today and every day ahead is for my man to see and know who he is through our eyes and find celebration in the Man of God he has become.

Greater still, that he would become ever stronger as he presses toward the true hope of His calling as he ministers the word by simply being who he is.

We are not there yet and have far to go, but we are on this path together and we will hear our Savior say, “Well Done!”

Happy Birthday Daddy!  We love you!

Love,

Ginger, Gordon, Jordon, and that other lil’ guy… ha! :)

Happy Birthday, Jerry! I don’t have to ask how old, now do I?

Many blessings on this day and the year to come!
